Eftychia Arabisoglou earned a BA in Speech Therapy from ATEI Patras in 2003 and then received a MA from Bangor University, Wales in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and is a BACB Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She has been trained in Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) and the implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans, based on B.F. Skinner’s Verbal Behavior as well as in the Pyramid Approach to Education. She has been a certified PECS Supervisor, Pyramid Consultant and speaker at Pyramid Educational Consultants seminars since 2007. She has trained and supervised thousands of professionals and parents in the implementation of PECS and the Pyramid Approach to Education.
Her clinical interest is focused on the organization and implementation of programs that take place at home, in the community, and in private intervention centers and are based on the Pyramid Approach. In these programs, she trains parents in the implementation of the Pyramid Approach and PECS at home and in the community, and professionals and students in their implementation in the intervention center and in the community. She also works as a manager in Early Intervention programs for preschool and school-age children. As a speech therapist, she prepares and implements individualized speech development programs for people with ASD and Dyspraxia. At the same time, she deals with the analysis of the functioning of unwanted behaviors and the development of personalized programs for the management of these behaviors. She has been implementing PECS since 2004 and in collaboration with Ms. Eleana Logothetis MSc, they are constantly working to adapt PECS to the Greek-speaking population. She works with renowned colleagues in the field of Special Education, in Greece and abroad.
